JERON GOULDBOURNE, MASTER ELECTRICIAN

    • Past Role Models

Jeron’s passion for electrical technology started while attending the Vere Technical High School in Jamaica. He followed up his love for that field by completing the Electrical apprenticeship program at the HEART Academy a few months after leaving high school. He worked for one of Jamaica’s largest electrical company (JH Dunstan Electrical and Associates) from 1994 to 2000. Also, he attended the National Tools and Engineering Institute where he received a diploma in electrical installation in 1999.

Jeron left JH Dunstan and became self-employed because he wanted the flexibility of working and attending school without too many restrictions. He accomplished this by completing a diploma in Electrical Power at the University of Technology while doing enough jobs to support himself and his family. He migrated to Canada in 2007 and continued his interest in electrical, where he completed the Construction and Maintenance Electrical License in 2008 and the Master Electrical License in 2012. Jeron is never satisfied with just working for other companies and in 2013 he formed his own electrical company, Estel Electrical Services Inc. The company performs residential industrial and commercial installations and maintenance.

Jeron also enjoys teaching and has been teaching electrical courses at the George Brown College since 2012.
