>Akilah Allen-Silverstein grew up in the Caribbean twin federation of St. Kitts and Nevis and moved to Canada in 2009. After completing her University education, a career as a financial planner stood out to her because of her passion for helping others. Volunteering in the local community and being socially engaged has always been a guiding principle.

Currently a member of Canadian Association of Urban Financial Professionals which aims to be the preeminent centre of excellence in the Canadian Financial Services industry that supports economic empowerment for black professionals and the minority community at large. During university she held the elected role of President of the Saint Mary’s University Caribbean Society for two years, and was also a volunteer board member of (SAGA) Students Acting for Global Awareness.

She is currently on track to hold the Certified Financial Planner designation by the end of 2017, as she aims to give her client base the best advice related to building wealth, through investments, insurance, tax planning, retirement and estate planning strategies.
