Samantha Banton – Entrepreneur, Beauty Salon Owner
Samantha Banton is a Jamaican Canadian who migrated to Canada in 2014 to complete tertiary education. With little finances, but a lot of faith and determination, she completed her four-year undergraduate program at Trent University. While in university, to bridge the financial gap, she embarked on her entrepreneurial journey using her skills in hair braiding to generate income. This is where she realized there was a market for what she had to offer. After completing her undergraduate degree, she went on to complete a graduate paralegal certificate, graduating with high honours.
Samantha is now a seasoned entrepreneur with two hair braiding salons, Sammy’s Braids, and is currently embarking on her legal journey as a licensed paralegal.
