Donald Eta is a public sector leader with more than 20 years of progressive experience in transportation, fleet maintenance, and engineering roles within unionized environments. He currently serves as Director of Bus Fleet Maintenance and Engineering at Metrolinx, where he leads maintenance, inspection and repair, large-scale operational transformation initiatives, and strategic planning for a fleet exceeding 500 vehicles.

The son of Cameroonian and Nigerian parents who immigrated to Canada on academic scholarships, Donald was raised with a strong focus on education, excellence, and resilience. His upbringing shaped a leadership style rooted in integrity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

A mechanical engineer and University of Toronto alumnus, he has earned multiple certifications including Lean practices, asset management, and sustainable fleet operations. A devoted mentor and community advocate, Donald is committed to helping the next generation of leaders thrive.

Outside the office, he is a proud father of three and continuously working to strike a better balance between ambition, family, and community contribution.
