David Betty is a highly accomplished professional with over two decades of experience in real estate services, compliance, risk management, and financial governance. 

As the Broker of Record and Owner of Sunbelle Realty Limited since 2016, David oversees brokerage operations, ensures compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and mentors a team of agents to drive performance and client satisfaction. His strategic leadership has resulted in streamlined transactions, increased revenue, and strong client relationships built on trust and expertise.

Prior to his current role, David held key positions in compliance and risk management at organizations such as First Canadian Title (FCT), ResMor Trust Company, and CitiFinancial Canada Inc. His work included developing Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)
frameworks, managing legislative compliance systems, and leading teams in mortgage enforcement and loss mitigation. Notably, he reduced mortgage foreclosure timelines significantly and implemented innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

David is also a dedicated educator, co-facilitating classes at the Humber Real Estate Education Program, where he prepares future real estate professionals for the industry’s challenges and compliance requirements. His academic credentials include a Master of
Science in Economics, a Bachelor of Science in Accounting & Economics, and professional designations as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Beyond his professional achievements, David is deeply committed to community service. He currently serves as President & Chair of the Board of Directors for the Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) and holds leadership roles in organizations such as the Black
Realtors Association of Canada and the Lions Circle African Men’s Association. His passion for fostering competitive markets and advocating for ethical practices extends to his volunteer work and board memberships.
